When installing a robot it is important to consider other equipment's impact on the robot / manipulator. Each manual has a vibration specification listed. For example the AR1440 has this data:

An example of when this would be important is if other equipment within the same facility / building creates large vibrations. A large press operating nearby is known to create large impulses. The customer should measure the impact at the robot's point of installation and determine if the environment falls within published limits. If the vibration is too large the customer should pick a different installation location or take steps to isolate the robot from the vibration source.
