Weld Processes are the lowest level of configuration for how the Universal WeldCom Interface (UWI) commands parameters on the welding power source. These processes contain the definition of how the power source will execute the welding wave form. They contain information such as:
- Weld Mode: DC, Pulse, Wave pulse, etc.
- Gas
- Wire Diameter
- Wire Material
- Etc.
These Weld Processes must be defined prior to programming any welding jobs, using arc files, or using Weld Builder. With the Smart Pendant, these settings can be configured with the UWI Settings menu or imported from another system.
