Comarc / Touchsense Wiring Update Required When Replacing (Pre-June 2023) Miller Welder with (Post-June 2023) Miller Welder

Who is affected:
Yaskawa robotic welding systems with multiple robots, using Miller welders and a Comarc/Touchsense box — only if you're replacing a welder with a new model built after June 2023.

What’s the issue:
In June 2023, Miller made an internal change to their welders that affects the Work Sense wiring circuit in Yaskawa systems.

What you need to do:
If your system was installed before June 2023, and you’re replacing a welder with a newer one (post-June 2023), you must:

• Update the wiring for Comarc and Touchsense.
• Specifically, route the R1, R2, R3, etc. Work Sense wires to the S1E and S2E terminals on the Comarc box.

Why it matters:
Failing to update the wiring may result in improper operation of Touchsense and Comarc features.
