Every way to enter Maintenance Mode on the YNX1000

This guide describes every way to enter maintenance mode directly on the YNX1000

There are 3 ways to enter maintenance mode on the YNX1000.

1. Smart pendant
2. Web pendant
3. Dip switch

Smart Pendant

From the Menu, go to System Settings > Controller. In the top right, there is a checkbox “With Maintenance Mode”. Check that box and click the “RESTART CONTROLLER” button above it.

A modal will appear. Press “RESTART” to boot into maintenance mode. You can leave the Smart Pendant app open, and once the controller reboots you will be automatically redirected to the web pendant in maintenance mode.

Web Pendant

From the web pendant main page, go to Menu > Settings > System setting > System restart. Here you will see a toggle switch and a button that says “RESTART”. Flip the toggle switch to the “ON” position and press “RESTART”.

After doing that, a modal will appear. Accept to begin the reboot. You will have to reconnect/refresh once the controller boots to view in maintenance mode.

DIP Switch

This way has the benefit of being able to enter maintenance mode from boot. It is more difficult to do since you must open the controller cabinet, but it can come in handy if a situation arises that you cannot enter maintenance mode through the typical methods.

1. Turn off the robot, follow appropriate lockout-tagout procedures, deenergize the robot, and open the controller cabinet
2. Locate the DIP switches on the Robot Control Module (JAYRM-RCX001). Identify MNT in the SW2 bank (see images below).

3. Flip the MNT DIP switch on the Robot Control Module (JAYRM-RCX001) (see images below) ON (right)

5. Safely restore power to the controller and turn it on
6. When you enter the web pendant, it should have started up in maintenance mode.
7. When you want to return to online mode you must
   1. Turn off the robot, follow appropriate lockout-tagout procedures, deenergize the robot, and open the controller cabinet
   2. Flip the MNT DIP switch back OFF (left)
   3. Safely restore power to the controller and turn it on
   4. It will boot into online mode
