This issue occurs on Windows 11. You will need to disable the USB power management in Windows 11 by changing settings in both Device Manager and Power Options. In Device Manager, you must uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" box for each relevant USB hub, while in Power Options, you should set "USB selective suspend setting" to "Disabled" under your power plan's advanced settings.
In Device Manager
- Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button.
- Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers section.
- Right-click on each USB Root Hub and select Properties.
- Go to the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power," and then click OK.
- Repeat this process for all USB Root Hubs listed.
In Power Options
- Open Power Options by going to the Start menu and searching for it, or by going to Control Panel > Power Options.
- Click Change plan settings next to your currently active power plan.
- Click Change advanced power settings.
- Expand the USB settings option.
- Expand USB selective suspend setting and change the setting to Disabled for both "On battery" and "Plugged in".
- Click OK to save the changes.
