This procedure outlines the procedure for saving the complete CMOS in the FS100 controller.
1) Turn on the controller and the connection screen will appear.
2) To go to Maintenance Mode, press on Special Mode and then press on Maintenance Mode. If you have multiple robot controllers, the pendant will prompt you to choose the IP address of your robot.
3) When prompted, grip, hold, and release the enable switch on the back of the pendant to verify proper communication.
2) After booting into Maintenance mode, go to Management level security using the
following selections using the SELECT key: SYSTEM > SECURITY > MANAGEMENT.
3) After selecting MANAGEMENT mode, you will be prompted to enter a password. Enter
the password and press the ENTER key (Default password is 99999999) Now the
system will be in MANAGEMENT mode as can be verified by the three keys at the icon
on top right of screen.
4) Now select the target external memory device to save the CMOS file. Select EXTERNAL
MEMORY > DEVICE > then select either CF: Pendant or USB: Pendant.
5) Save the CMOS file. Select EXTERNAL MEMORY > SAVE > CMOS > Select Yes when
prompted.
6) After selecting Yes, the CMOS file will begin saving. This will take up to several minutes. During this time the controller will show that it is saving the CMOS file. When it is complete, you will hear an audible “beep” and the bottom message line will read “Maintenance Mode”.
7) If you need to load a CMOS file back into your controller, follow the same steps as
above, however select LOAD instead of SAVE on step 5. **CAUTION: ALL data previously
saved in the controller will be lost if a CMOS file is loaded! Only load a CMOS if
instructed by Yaskawa personnel or if the system configuration must be reverted back
to a previous state.
