When using MotoSim it can be beneficial to simulate the state of safety signals. These signals are often used in Safety Logic circuits or Functional Safety Unit (FSU) files as conditions to selectively disable signals. Changing the state of the signals can help with debugging or planning logic in MotoSim.
Signals which can be manipulated include:
- Functional Safety Unit inputs (#1 FSBIN**)
- TEACH/PLAY conditions
- E-STOP button states
- R*** aux states
- and other conditions
To access or change these signals in MotoSim:
- Change to the "Controller" tab at the top of the software.
- Select the "Safety Function", then select "Safety Logic Circuit".
- Then you can manipulate the state of the signals.
- You can monitor the state of signals on the pendant screen.
