Connecting a Power Source
While using Weld Builder it is required that Universal Weldcom Interface (UWI) is properly installed and setup. This includes connecting to a valid power source. The following is a list of power source manufacturers supported by Weld Builder:
- Fronius
- Lincoln
- Miller
More power source support to come in the future.
Note: A separate software installation is required when switching power source manufacturer.
After initial setup has been performed, connection to the power source(s) should be validated. This can be checked using the following steps:
- Check the "Welder Ready" status of the ARC WELDING utility panel on the job edit ribbon.
-
Not Ready ●
Indicates a connection issue or error on the power source. -
Ready ●
Indicates the power source should be ready to weld.
-
Not Ready ●
- Should the power source be ready, testing the wire feeding and gas is a good way to test the connection of the power source.
If you have problems with connection to the power source, please contact your local Yaskawa support.
