Preparation
This guide only covers the FS100 robot controller with software version 3.30 or newer. For versions below 3.30, upgrade the software version first or follow the guide for software versions older than 3.30 (available only to Yaskawa employees) --> FS100: How to Load a MotoPlus App License -- For FS100 Software Version Older Than 3.30.
License files are used for some paid MotoPlus applications, for example MotoSight 2D and MotoPick. License files are only valid for a single controller. They are generated using the unique MAC address of a given controller. A license file can hold the license for one or many licensed applications. This tutorial assumes that you already have a license file for your controller. Getting a license is a separate procedure. Both customers and Yaskawa Motoman employees should reach out to tech support if they need a license file to be generated for an application. To install a license on the FS100, the only hardware that you need is a CF card or a USB drive, and a computer with a corresponding slot.
Important Note: One of the steps of this process is initializing your SRAMDRV.DAT file. Note that this may delete important information on the controller, depending on what is currently installed on it. Consider the impact before initializing and take a backup of the CMOS.BIN prior to going through this process.
Setting Option Functions
