Loading a MotoPlus Application to the FS100 Controller

Preparation

On Controller

1. Before starting this guide, take a full back-up of all individual files on the robot controller (including any license files (.LIC) in the User Defined Files).
2. Boot the controller. On the connection screen, click on “Special Mode” and then “Maintenance Mode”. Grip and release the Servo Enable switch in the back of the pendant when prompted on the screen.
3. Go to SYSTEM INFO > SECURITY > Set the security level to Management. The password is all 9’s.
4. Touch SYSTEM > SETUP > OPTION FUNCTIONS.
5. Cursor down to MotoPlus Func and make sure it is set to USED.

On PC

1. Move the MotoPlus application executable (.out file) to a USB flash drive.
   
2. Insert the USB flash drive into the programming pendant.

Procedure

1. While in Maintenance Mode, select MotoPlus APL. from the Main Menu and then select DEVICE.
   

    

2. Select USB:Pendant.
   

    

3. Select {MotoPlus APL.} from the main menu and then select FILE LIST. If there are any existing MotoPlus files that will not be compatible with the file currently being loaded (this does not include MotoPlus License Manager (MPLM) files), select Select {MotoPlus APL.} from the main menu again and then select DELETE. Press SELECT on the file you want to delete and then press ENTER. Then, select YES to following dialogue window.

4. To load the new MotoPlus file, select {MotoPlus APL.} from the main menu and then select LOAD (USER APPLICATION).
   

    

5. Use the cursor to navigate to the application you want to load. Pressing the SELECT button will mark the application with a star. If you are loading a MotoPlus License Manager (MPLM) file, this must be loaded first before the remaining the MotoPlus Application file.
   

    

6. Press the [ENTER] button.

7. Select {YES} to finish loading the selected application.
   

    

8. Reboot controller to online mode.

Troubleshooting

ERROR 3640 “Limit of file number” when loading the .out file.

• The maximum number MotoPlus files have already been loaded onto the controller. Touch {MotoPlus APL} > {Delete} to select and remove any unnecessary applications.
• If you wish to increase the limit, it is controlled by parameter S1D305. It is not recommended to increase this beyond a value of 3. However, there are limited occasions where more than three MotoPlus applications are required. In these cases, S1D305 may be increased to 5.
  
  Note: When increasing S1D305, it is recommended to also increase S1D307 to 25.
