- Create Configuration File in Robot DC
- Open RobotDC application and click Settings from the Top Menu
- Click CONFIGURATION from the left menu
- Type in Controller name, controller key, and IP Address
- Hit tab, and then click the Reload checkbox
- Once all new controllers have been added, click the Reload button
- Create Controller
- Go into WebApp (In browser navigate to localhost:8080/YCPApp
- Open Settings > Initial Settings > Controller and click Add.
- Select factory, line, and cell and click Configuration Setting button
- Browse to C:\Program Files\YASKAWA\YASKAWA Cockpit\DcApp\RobotDC\Configuration and click on configuration file created.
- Click the pencil icon to modify controller and add serial number (Note: This can be any piece of information like order number, IP address, etc)
- Check “Enable the setting contents” checkbox
- Set Production Volume Settings
- For DX200 controllers, set Variable for Production to D variable you’ll update to track production.
- For YRC1000, on the controller pendant, go to PM > JOB MONITOR and go to DATA > JOB MONITOR ENTRY and add job you want to use to track production as the first job.
- Connect to controller(s) in RMS
- Open RMS and click the “Stop” button.
- Click “Scan” and locate the new controller(s). Click the checkbox and click “Reload”
- Connect to controller(s) in RobotDC

- Open RobotDC and go to Controller Setting. Click “Scan”
- Check controller(s) and click “Save Settings”
- Click Home (top menu) and “Start Measurement”

- Verify Connection
- Go to WebApp and click LINE GROUP to verify controller info is getting pulled (NOTE: Controller must be in remote). You should see info on the Basic Info page, and the icons on the Status tab should show current status.

For Systems with Add-Ons follow these additional steps:
- For Robot Health Checker
- If you have Robot Health Checker, run RobotHealthCheckerSetup.exe from Setup folder of Robot Heath Checker install folder.
- Select AddRobotHealthCheck from menu and click OK
- Follow through instructions to add data collectors.
- If you have other add-ons, you can add data collectors for these at the same time
- For Robot Recorder and Spot Weld
- On Web App go to SETTINGS > Initial Settings > RC Setting > Data Collection and click check box for add-on
- For Cycle Time
- If you are monitoring the same I/O as another controller follow the instructions for Robot Recorder/Spot Weld above and check the data collector CT_ControllerName.
- If you are monitoring different I/O send an email to softwaresupport@motoman.com with the names of the factory/line/cell/controller(s), and what I/O you want to monitor.
