How to start and stop a job using Smart Pendant

When a job is opened (either from the Job List screen or by selecting {Current Job} from the Main Menu), the first line of the job is automatically selected as shown below.

To run the job, the following steps should be taken (labelled on the image below):

1. Change the mode switch to Automatic (Play) mode. The mode icon on the Status Bar will change to the Automatic (Play) mode icon:
2. Turn SERVO Power ON. This can be done  by pressing the {SERVO} button on the touchscreen or the corresponding membrane key.
3. Press {TEST/RUN JOB} on the bottom navigation menu.

This will bring up the Test/Run Panel on the bottom half of screen. To run the job, press and hold the {RUN} button on the screen (or the corresponding membrane key). This will create a notification indicating that the job was started from Line 1 and also display the “Play” icon in the Status Bar as shown below:

To start the job from a different line, switch the mode switch to Manual (Teach) mode and select the desired line. Repeat the same steps to run the job, and this time the notification will display with the new line where the job was started:

There are two ways to stop the program while it is executing: the {STOP} button and the {PAUSE} button. Pressing the {STOP} button will halt operation and turn SERVO Power Off. The program can be restarted by the same procedure as before.

The {PAUSE} button will halt operation but leave SERVO Power On. In this case, the Pause icon will be displayed in the Status Bar as shown before. To continue execution, press and hold the {PLAY} button again.
