1. Start the Maintenance mode, and then select {EX. MEMORY} in the Main Menu.
– The sub menu appears.
2. Select {SAVE}.
– The SAVE window appears.
3. Select “EDS/GSD FILE SAVE”.
– The EDS/GSD FILE SAVE window appears.
NOTE:
"Ethernet/IP CPU (Instance Size 1 byte)" is displayed in
YBS1.10.00A-00 or later.
4. Select “Ethernet/IP CPU” or “Ethernet/IP CPU(Instance Size 2 byte)”.
– " " appears to the selected file
NOTE:
The instance number size in the EDS file saved with "Ethernet/IP CPU" will depend on the version.
- YBS1.00.00A-00 or later and earlier than YBS1.07.00A-00 : 1byte
- YBS1.07.00A-00 or later : 2 bytes
For an EDS file to perform EtherNet/IP communication with a scanner device that supports an instance number size of 1 byte only (2 bytes is not supported) in version YBS1.07.00A-00 or later and earlier than YBS1.10.00A-00,please contact your YASKAWA representative.
For an EDS file with an instance number size of 1 byte in version YBS1.10.00A-00 or later, save the file with "Ethernet/IP CPU (Instance Size 1 byte)".
An EDS file for an instance number size of 1 byte cannot be used if an instance number is set to 256 or greater.
5. Press [Enter].
– The confirmation dialog box appears.
6. Select {YES}.
– An EDS file is created in the valid device (SD Card or USB memory).
