DX200 EtherNet/IP Safe Parameter Change based on PLC Brand

In the DX200 Controller, there is a parameter which should be changed based on the brand of PLC connected for EtherNet/IP Safe (CIP Safety) communication.

• If Rockwell PLC, set S2C1628 = 0 in the DX200
• If Omron PLC, set S2C1628 = 3 in the DX200

When the parameter is set incorrectly communication will not occur with the PLC brands listed above.

As of DX200 software version DN3.12.00-00 YEC changed the software behavior for EtherNet/IP Safe connection.  In this case they tried to improve the overall software communication behavior by adding a parameter for Omron PLCs.  However, this change was detrimental to communication and connections with Rockwell PLCs - the most popular PLC used in the Americas.  This can be a problem for many customers in North and South America.  Controllers shipped from Ohio will be set for Rockwell communication.
