Some option boards / accessories now include a configurable option in maintenance mode called SECURITY. By default, Yaskawa ships with this setting DISABLED. One reason to keep this state is that it allows the customer to change the IP address of the board using supplied software tools.
This screen shows an example of where the setting is shown in Maintenance Mode:
The following boards include this feature (as of this publication):
| Board Type | Interface | Network Type | Yaskawa Part # |
|---|---|---|---|
| INPACT Board | PCIE | EtherCAT Slave | 182697-1 |
| INPACT Board | PCIE | EtherNet/IP (Adapter only) | 182698-1 |
| INPACT Board | PCIE | Modbus/TCP Server/Slave | 182699-1 |
| INPACT Board | PCIE | Powerlink Slave | 182700-1 |
| INPACT Board | PCIE | PROFINET Slave | 182704-1 |
| AB3606 | PCI | EtherNet/IP Adapter | 157874-5 |
| AB3607 | PCI | EtherNet/IP Scanner | 157874-8 |
| AB3609 | PCI | PROFINET Slave | 157874-4 |
Typically this setting can stay in DISABLED state. However some customers who are concerned about higher levels of IT and OT cybersecurity may want to change this to ENABLED. By setting the security to ENABLED these services are turned off:

- this service allows the configuration of the device's IP address.
- Webserver and Web Access is disabled
