The document attached is a setup guide which applies to the EtherNet/IP option for the DX100, DX200, YRC1000 or YRC1000micro. The guide is intended to help document the setup and project configuration to use the MSG (message) instruction in RSLogix 5000 or Studio 5000 when commissioning a modern Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLC - CompactLogix or ControlLogix series to communicate with one of the robot controller models listed above.

A caveat to reading STRING variables back to the PLC (being sent from the robot). The data needs to be directly written to the .DATA component of the string data type, like this:
Note: EtherNet/IP Messaging can not be used when EtherNet/IP Safe is enabled!
